CV

After graduating from the University of St Andrews, Scotland with an MA in Film Studies I have founded my own film production company. I wanted to portray human centred stories that can widen people’s perspectives – stories that inspire. My first feature length documentary, Daughters of Dolma was shot during my studies in Scotland. The film depicts the unexpected and modern lives of Buddhist nuns in Nepal and concentrates on gender equality in the realm of religion. The rights of this film was purchased by New York based Kino Lorber and later by Netflix. It has seen a nationwide cinema release in Hungary, Canada and in the United States.
My second feature length documentary, The Legacy of Menla is about the Tibetan doctors in India. This film, too, has seen a nationwide cinema release in Hungary and was later purchased by the Hungarian national TV channel and saw many film festival premieres around the world.
These two documentary films served as a jumping board to direct my third documentary supported by the Hungarian National Film Institute. Tcha is about a blind Belgian violin virtuoso who without any knowledge of the Hungarian language masters the nation’s traditional music style and becomes world famous of it in the course of five years.
In 2020 my latest documentary film, Beyond Rock Bottom was funded by the Hungarian Film Institute’s Inkubátor Programme and it is set to be released in cinemas in September 2024.
