Botond Püsök
Botond Püsök graduated as a film director at the University of Theatre and Film Arts, SZFE Budapest –documentary film directing MA. In 2016 he won the best director award for his short documentary Angela at the Astra International Film Festival. His first feature-length film, Too Close, premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2022, was awarded at several international film festivals including Fipadoc Biarritz, received the Hungarian Film Critics' Prize for best documentary, and was nominated for the Gopo Award in Romania. Botond also works as a cinematographer and dramaturgist, his main interest is the field of creative documentary, character driven stories focusing on human rights and exploring the boundaries of humanity in challenging life situations.
